Explanatory notes: Friends promote research, conservation and celebration of the Springs, Spouts, Fountains and Holy Wells of the Malvern Hills and of Great Malvern as a Spa Town. This service is provided in recognition of the value of the newsletters as a research and general information tool. The copyright of all material remains with the originators and any use made of the information contained therein should be acknowledged by source, authors and date.
Early Newsletters record the evolution of the Friends of Malvern Springs and Wells from a group supported by the Civic Society. They also record the unfortunate breakdown in a working relationship with the MSA. The MSA was transmogrified from the Malvern Spa Tourism Association, formed in the early 1990s, coinciding with the first of our published guides to Malvern's springs and wells. Both Cora and Bruce were founder members of the MSTA and the latter was chairman until decamping to Sussex University. Newsletter 7 sees the formation of Friends from several disparate groups. Thereafter the Newsletters provide a record of the evolution of interest in the springs and wells of the Malvern Hills.
Keep an eye out for the latest additions from time to time and email us if you would like each new newsletter sent to you direct - bruce@thespas.co.uk
